Mr. Paar will be holding a 5-week long Self-Defense Seminar beginning September 18th. The first 15 minutes of each class will consist of warm-ups followed by 30 minutes of kicks/cardio. Then the Self-Defense training commences.
1st Class- Escapes: This class will teach students how to escape from various grabs and chokes.
2nd Class- Joint Manipulation and Pressure Points: This class builds on the first and introduces joint manipulation and pressure points to aid in escaping various grabs and chokes.
3rd Class- Take Downs and Board Breaking: This class focuses on taking down an attacker. Boards will also be broken by the students to help increase their confidence.
4th Class- Situational Self-Defense: This class will focus on various situations that are common in attacks (at a bar, dancing, against a wall, seated, etc).
5th Class- Realistic Practice and "Bring a Situation": This final class will have students performing what they've learned in the dark (dim lightning) for realism. Students are asked to bring in their own situations for the instructor to devise escapes for.

With great excitement we announce that on April 13th (yes, it is a Sunday) Mr. McDaniel will be hosting the Wisconsin Chang-Hun Challenge! The name was changed from last year because they have invited a couple of non-USTF schools to participate so there is more competition. ALL the schools invited practice the ITF patterns and ITF standards so there won’t be any “open” stuff going on. It will be a GREAT competition and a lot of fun. The venue has changed this year and they will be introducing some new things. There will be Patterns, Sparring, Team Patterns and a new event that will be announced shortly. The event will start at noon. Looking forward to seeing all of you! More information forthcoming...
